What's the Puebla, Mexico, Weather?
Because of Puebla’s altitude of an official 7217ft (2200m), the city enjoys a cool, temperate climate. Note that the state of Puebla ranges from semi-desert to subtropical highland with rivers and lakes, and because of altitudes even higher than the city’s, some state areas can get quite cold.
In the city, a summer midday might hit the very rare 84°F (29°C), but normally the summer days peak in the lower 70°Fs (21°C), with nightly lows in the mid 50°Fs (13°C)! (Nights are cool all year round.) The warmest months are April and June.
In the winter – the coldest months being December and January – expect highs in the lower 60°Fs (17°C) and chilly nights in the mid 40°Fs (8°C).
Puebla sees most of its rain from May to October, with heavy afternoon downpours from June to September.
So pack a sweater or jacket, at least one heavier warm coat, and definitely raingear or an umbrella, as well as short sleeves if you’ll be in Puebla in the summer. And always sunblock!
