I guess it really depends on you how much you actually sleep in Playa del Carmen, given the active nightlife there, but we figure you’ll want to get some zzz’s at some point... Through your Spanish language school at the beach, we can help you find a homestay opportunity, set you up in their off- or on-campus student residences or apartments, or point you to hostels, B&Bs, hotels, or vacation rentals to fit your needs. But here are some options to start:
There’s nothing like living in a Mexican home not only to practice your Spanish, but also to connect you to the Mexican people and culture! Your language school in Playa del Carmen will do its best to match your preferences with a carefully selected homestay situation. (We'll hook you up with them.)
Your hosts will play an important role, of course, and will include you as much as possible in their daily lives: mealtime conversations, trips to the market, weddings, birthday parties, and the like. Expect your own bedroom, a private or shared bathroom, clean sheets and towels regularly, and maybe TV and/or internet. Your homestay family will provide breakfast and can also provide you an additional meal if you’d like.
If you are coming with friends or family, you can still take advantage of this opportunity with a shared homestay. In this case, you would share a room or rooms in a Mexican home.
